Someday the Story is Going to be Different – A Dream for Cameroon

It’s kind of challenging, but over the years, my big dream for Cameroon has been to see righteousness installed in the nation. Cameroon is a very blessed nation. We are endowed with a lot of natural resources, but we are not able to exploit that to the benefit of the people of Cameroon. There is no better way to put this than : “Everybody wins when a leader gets better.” When we are able to impact society—the system that is in place—to the point that they are able to understand Christian values and leadership skills and apply them, then like the Bible says, “Righteousness exalts the nations.” When that happens, we can really see the resources God has put into the country begin to be profitable to the people. Thus far, we’ve been able to make some moves and God has granted us favor with some of the people in authority. It’s not easy. It’s challenging because they do not have the same belief systems we do; they don’t understand things the way we do, and it’s a completely new concept to them. It is an uphill task. But we trust that God has brought us this far, and He is going to perfect it. It may not happen tomorrow, and it may not happen next year, but we are trusting that someday the story is going to be different.—Angela Acha Morfaw, GLS Leader, Cameroon

I am extremely happy for all things that I have discovered here. I am women’s leader and I am leaving here with a passion to do the work of God. God brought this to Cameroon because of me. —Mme Mbarga Genvieve, Cameroon

Thank God for this opportunity. I came from Maroua in the extreme North and this Summit has made me begin to question a lot of things I thought I knew before. I have learned a lot of new things—especially that you don’t have to travel abroad to learn these truths. It is offered right here in your own country. —Pastor Dikwa Olivier, Cameroon
