Dixie was born and raised in a small farming community in Washington State. She was blessed with Christian parents, who loved and taught her about God. She claims the song "Through it All" as her song because He was there through it all and turned her mourning into joy. She has been married to Dennis for 43 years and has three furry, four legged children who run the house and them. She felt honored to work with and retire from the office of the Honorable Congressman "Doc" Hastings of the Federal House. She's been a church volunteer for most of her life, and over the past three years has started leading a healing women’s group.
