The Women Leaders Network (WLN)

is an initiative of the GLN and is a global movement of local cohorts that will identify, empower, equip and release women in leadership. We desire to see women leading well with and alongside men, and fully use their God given leadership gifts for His purposes. Our vision is to see a unified global network of women leaders bringing transformational impact to their churches and local communities.

ABOUT US

The WLN is a global movement that will identify, empower, equip and release women leaders to fully use their leadership gifts in spaces of influence so that they can bring transformational impact to their churches and local communities.

OUR VISION
OUR MISSION
OUR GOALS
OUR STORY
WHO WE ARE
OUR LOCATIONS

To be a unified global network of women leaders bringing transformational impact to their churches and local communities.

We see a global movement where:

  • Women understand their true worth in Christ. (1 John 3:1)
  • Women encourage one another forward (1 Thes 5:11)
  • Women sit equally with men at the leadership table. (Galatians 3:28)
  • Women stand alongside the next generation. (Prov 22:6)
  • Women come together and await the move of the Spirit of the living God. (Acts 1:8)
  • Women stand with one spirit and one purpose, for the sake of the Gospel. (Phil 1:27)

To create a movement that will identify, empower, equip and release women in leadership across all sectors.

  • To identify women leaders, in all sectors, around the globe
  • To empower women leaders by creating opportunity for connection and relationship so they can be encouraged, strengthened, and networked together
  • To equip women leaders with resourcing, training, coaching and mentoring
  • To release women leaders to use their leadership gifts, to work well alongside men, and to use their voices to transform their churches and local communities

In 2019, God gave Karen Wilson, Vice President International Ministries, Global Leadership Network, a clear and compelling vision of His heart for women in leadership.  This vision included women of all cultures and generations standing alongside one another all around the coasts of every country in the world.  Together, they stand confident, strong, brave and united and ready for what He is calling them to do.

The Global Leadership Network has wholeheartedly embraced this vision and launched the Women Leaders Network.  Through the GLN, the Women Leaders Network is creating space for women leaders to gather, to hear the voice of God, to grow together and to spur one another on in leadership.  Though we are more globally connected than any other time in history, in many ways we are still isolated from each other.  And, in many nations, women are still a “silent voice”.The WLN is a global movement with a growing belief that this network is forming for “such a time as this”.Photo of Booklet available for downlaod

Across the world men and women leaders are excited for this network and God has begun His work of forming a great global movement!  We believe that this movement will raise up women leaders to fully use their gifts, working well with and alongside men, and transform their communities and the world.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a WLN Cohort?

    What is a WLN Cohort?

A WLN cohort is a group of women leaders (all sectors – church, nonprofit, education, business, etc.) who gather together for the purpose of empowering, equipping and releasing one another to lead well in the areas that God has called them to.
Cohorts meet regularly, approximately 8 to 12 times per year, either in person or online, with ongoing communication/gatherings in between as needed and desired.
The goal of the group is to connect, build relationships and learn and grow together in leadership ability and calling. In addition, local cohorts can connect with cohorts around the world as a way to build global understanding and relationships with women from other countries. Finally, cohorts are encouraged to develop an outreach or serving element so that they can have transformational impact in their communities.

Tolu's Story

"Tolulope first heard of the WLN at the GLS in Portugal in 2023. The vision deeply resonated with her and was convinced she had to be involved. Tolulope feels called by God to be a voice of hope, identity and leadership especially to the next generation. The WLN equips her to do that. "

Jess' Story

"Jess leads a cohort of college student leaders. Great communities are often built over tables and time. We committed to showing up and following up which helped us move a group of people from a gathering to a community. Bringing the “table” into the mix and providing food not only meets a physical need, but also helps create a more inviting space and helps the time together feel much more like a community than a meeting. "

Sav's Story

"Raised by a single mum who escaped the Pol Pot war in the late 1970’s, together with her older brother, she lived in a refugee camp located in Thailand for several years before arriving in Brisbane, Australia in 1988. Currently completing her Master of Leadership, Sav has a passion for releasing women in leadership across Australia."

Janine's Story

"Seeing a great need for women leaders to be recognised and released in South Africa, Janine brings a heart full of passion and 20+ years of experience leading the GLS alongside her husband Gerry. She is a catalyst to see ten WLN cohorts launched across South Africa this year."
