Before being invited to The Global Leadership Summit for the first time two years ago, marketing professional, Cynthia Mordecai, had not tapped into her full potential. The Summit ignited a fire in her she didn’t even realize she could have. “Little did I know how the Summit would change my life forever!” exclaimed Cynthia.

A Change in Perspective
Attending The Global Leadership Summit created a paradigm shift in her life personally and professionally. “The Summit changed my perspective on how I lead within my work, with my family, husband and friends,” said Cynthia. “As a result, over the last two years I’ve grown exponentially. Now greatness and success seem to follow me wherever I go due to my putting the lessons learned at the Summit into action. I can’t wait to see what the future brings!”

Cynthia was drawn in by the leadership insights she heard from the world-class leadership faculty. Intrigued by what she was learning, and how it could change her business, she became hungry to learn and continue to grow. “I am a sponge now when it comes to wanting to learn more, ask questions and stay curious, always looking to improve and find out what’s next,” said Cynthia. “The biggest habit changes since attending the Summit are reading, listening to podcasts, and consuming any kind of personal development content as well as learning how to put them into action.”
The Outward Ripple Effect of Personal Growth
With a dream to help others perform at their maximum potential mentally and physically, Cynthia is using her expertise in digital marketing and business strategy at WSI Smart Marketing to connect people. “The Summit has been a major factor in my dream to help others,” said Cynthia. “And with inspiration from my husband, mentors and the encouragement and empowerment from a group of powerful women in my life, my dream started to gain traction. Now, my husband and I are in extraordinary careers, where we are flourishing and working with leaders who are people first and truly invest in the success of their team members. As I’ve continued to learn and grow, I’ve seen my clients’ businesses grow too—and I witness how it impacts not just their business and their employees, but our community as well.”

Flourishing with Grit
In 2020, when the rug was pulled out from under many leaders, Cynthia continued to grow and apply the important lessons she had learned over the years, even during an incredibly difficult season. “I was surprised by how much I could handle,” said Cynthia. “I was surprised by the amount of grit I had and how much my patience and grace grew, even during a difficult time. I believe the biggest challenge is trying not to get overwhelmed. I see the vision, and even though I want to make things happen now, I understand that learning and growth is limitless. So, in order to stay focused, I simply take one step at a time.”
